Meet the woman behind Kitchen Witch, an Austin-based, Latina-owned cottage bakery serving delectable eats and enchanting treats with a generous helping of personality.

Long before Kitchen Witch had its own name, Jen was making her mark in Texas politics, community organizing, and advocacy. A Laredo native with a passion for making good trouble, she's spent years championing the causes and communities close to her heart.

But even the busiest activist needs a little sweetness.

​

Jen's love affair with baking began long before Kitchen Witch. What started as a creative outlet eventually became something more in 2016, when she put her baking talents to work fundraising for a trip to the Democratic National Convention. As it turns out, a good cookie can open doors almost as effectively as a good speech.

And so, Kitchen Witch was born.

​

Today, Jen brings the same dedication, creativity, and attention to detail to her baking that she's brought to years of public service and advocacy. From custom decorated cookies and celebration cakes to holiday pies and traditional Mexican treats, every order is made with care, character, and just a touch of enchantment.

After all, who says a woman can't change the world and look fabulous doing it—with a whisk in her hand?
